Biloxi High HostTo Coast RegionalPlatform EventsBiolxi High School will play host to the Gull Coast Regional Platform Events scheduled lor Saturday in the Biloxi High School auditorium, Mrs. Mary il Michel,principal, announced today.. Arthur E. Scruggs, superintendent o 1 Biloxi City Schools, is general chairman.aFive schools in addition to Biloxi High have signified their intentions of participating. Entries to date are from Biloxi High, Gulfport, Pascagoula, Notre Dame (Biloxi), Long Beach and Orange Grove.Individual competition will be held in expression, declamation, piano, freshman, sophomore and junior and chorus, limited and unlimited.Mary Louise Powell, senior, will represent Biloxi High in the expression contest and Wade Guice, senior and former merchant marine, will represent the local school in the declamation. Both students are under the direction of Mrs. Francis G. Collins, speech instructor.The piano soloists from Biloxi High are Bobby Brent, junior.class;yne Eisendrath, sophomore; and Jean Fountain, piano, freshman.The unlimited chorus under the direction of Miss Lucille Gaines, vocal music ‘teacher, will render Unaccompanied, “Little David Play on Your Harp.”The Girls Quartette with MissGaines accompanying will sing“Kiss Me Again.” This group includes Dorothy Campbell, Alma Hodge, Barbara Lunday and AlmaThornton.Members of the unlimited chorus are: Betty Joy Balius, Jennie Dew Boone, Dorothy Campbell, Virginia Dickinson, Alyne Eisendrath, Verona Fountain, Chloe Guice, Catherine Hecht, Ernest Hart, Gene Helm, Alma Hodge, Beulah Jenkins, Barbara Lunday, Bobby Mid-jn.i. ___r*% ir.___nr___nr
