While working on her Masters in Art at New York University L she studied under Hale Woodruff, blacK artist and muraiist.She has exhibited in the Baltimore-Washington area and New York City. She is best known for her ‘Matriarchal Madonna” or the “Black” Madonna. vhich depicts the strength and beauty of the black female ... from infancy ... t*o adolescence ... to adulthood. The technique employed in this expressive work of art was collage and acrylic.Vibrant shades of red and yellows enhance the black figures. The-background is blue and green with overlapping foreground colors.
