ELKS’ CIRCUS PROVESDRAWING CARD AND GIVESA SPLENDID EXHIBITIONOwing to conditions over which they had no control the Spellman circus was late in reaching this city Wednesday morning and it was necessary* to abandon the parade. It wUl be given •Thursday morning at 10 o'clock however and will be worthseeing.¥A good crowd visited the circus onspeanina of the circus in that city had the following t,o say:“Hundreds who witnessed M onday evening's performance ot the Frank P Spellman’s circus are attesting as to the histh grade of the attraction w hieh is now show mg in this city. The performance is far above those given by any of the smaller road shows and is equal to those given by the largest circuses.■\Vith the Big Spell man Circus.the Jefferson street grounds this afternoon and all were highly pleased with the show. The Elks have a big refreshment stand at the entrance’ tothe grounds where peanuts, popcorn, lemonade, pop and cigars aie dispensed and are doing a land office business The indications are that the big canvas top will be packed at tonight’s performance,Tuesday's Zanesville Signal in‘ Tuesdav morning the show gave a %ery creditable street parade which was headed by a number of the members of the local lodge of Elks, attired in natty unnorms. some red, some white and the remainder blue. The narade was viewed In hundreds ‘There was a performance Tuesday afternoon and will be another in the evening and should the show leceive the support it deserves the tent will be filled.
