The Quill and Scroll Society is an internationa honorary society for high school journalists. Inductees into the Concord - Carlile Patriot Chapter are: Dumont Billings, William Campbell, Kristen Anderson, Judy Cranker, Barbara Oineen, Stephen Ellis, Daniel Emerson, Aloyse Keefe, Mi-lt;Strong, Stephen Wrage, Kathy • McNamara and Marjorie Panned.The Teachers Association will present its first annual Swing Info Spring fashion show Friday evening, May 17, in the high school auditorium. AH proceeds will benefit their Dollars for Scholars scholarship program.SINCE last November senior student co-ordinators: Charlene Burstad, K a t h y McNamara, i Bonnie Oppermann. and Carol Soleau, with the assistance of James E. Lyons Jr., have been at work arranging this year’sshow. At present models are in rehearsal, fittings have been ar-anged and music, lighting and refreshments co-ordinated. Models are being trained by Mrs. Bradford Torrey, with the aid of Mrs. Roger Howard. Make-up will be handled by Mrs. Ernest Toombs. Music will be supplied by senior Dorothy Damon and a local rock group which will play softly in the background. Door-prizes range from jewelry to gift certificates to a mink stole.Two French Club students, traveled to Newton to take part in the French poetry recitation contest, and they went away garlanded with top prize honors. Cornelia Hulswit and Buni Crandall were winners. Also involved in this contest from CCHS were Elain Perry and Lorraine Prasinos.the bands Friday evening, May 10, in the gymnasium. With a total of seven bands, including two from Concord, the affair isexpected to draw a capacitycrowd.With the assistance of several juniors and seniors, the Concord Youth Center Corporation is launching its plans for activities to raise funds for the support of a new Concord youth 'Center. .An Action Auction '68,is being sponsored by this_group. IdTHE Senior class will bringin the second annual Battle ofincluding Dave Benoit, Donal Wade, William Campbell. Hur-ly Potsworth, Chris Flynn, James Peterson, Carol Soleau,Donna. Heuchling, Susan Don-oghue, Marjorie Pierce, Gregory Strong, Kathy McNamara, Faith Rosenfeld.This event will involve auctioning of high school students toanyone desiring their particular talents, such, as golf lessons, yard, work, car wash, a musical group, painting babysitting and many many others.
