Frosh Complete Frolic PlansMarley, Morgan, and Simms Featured at Dance SaturdayTicket sales for the Frosh Frolic, to be held in John Jay on Saturday evening, increased yesterday with the announcement that Russ Morgan, creator of “Music in the Morgan Manner”, and Virginia Simms, comely vocalist with Kay Kyser’s band, would appear at the dance.James Downs ’41, chairman, announced yesterday that plans have been completed and he expects that the dance will be one of the finest social events of the year. A fine attendance has already been assured by advance ticket sales.Hal Marley’s band is preparing new and novel arrangements for the music at the affair. Marley plans to accompany Miss Simms in several numbers.Marley’s Last AppearanceThis will be the last appearance of the local unit on the Campus, since the band will leave shortly to play on board the new flagship of the Holland-American line, the Nieuw Amsterdam.”Besides Morgan and Miss Simms, other entertainment, including the dance team of Patricia Emory, of Barnard, and Stockton Newman ’40, will add to the festivities.
