County School Music Programs In Mayi The first countywidc music event,I for the present school year was]I scheduled for Thursday, May 3, at } Col. Richardson High School. Nearly 300 junior high school singers participated in a choral festival. These i singers performed as separate glee clubs from Preston, Federalsburg, Denton, Lockerman, Ridgely and Greensboro Junior High Schools, j They also joined as one group to sing! three selections under the direction of Mr. Thomas Gohecn, accompanied! by Miss Edna Carter. jThe second countywide music event I is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23, Jon the football field at North Caroline High School at 8:00 p. m. At this time the senior high school bands and glee clubs from North Caroline, Col. Richardson and Lockerman High Schools will perform both as separate groups and also as a massed band-chorus. The Lockerman High School girls’ drill team will also perform at this cocert. More details lor this concert will appear later. Should the weather be inclement on| May 23, the following night will be! reserved as a “rain date.’’There will be no set admission charged for either of these events.
