The Merrj-Makers celebrated May Day with a grand picnic at Sulphur Springs, which was largely attended, and all present enjoyed themselves to the fullest extent. The weather was delightful and the day was happily spent in dancing, boat riding, fishing, and various other amusements, and an unlimited amount of choice refreshments adorned the spread on the green beneath the towering oaks. Mr VV. Morgan kimlty gave the use of his residence for dancing, progressive euchre, etc., and a vote of thanks was tendered him for bis generosity in freely giving the use of bis house and grounds. At night the Merry-Makers enjoyed a dance and refreshments at the hospitable residence of Mr. James Dowling, which continued until a late hour. Taken altogether, it was one of the happiest May Day parties that has ever been given by our Merry Slaking friends, as all wilt testify who were present.
