Local residents arc now able to travel to and from Buffalo’without changing cars. :The main line local from Emporium, to Buffalo, which leaves the former ^ town early in the morning, is now due in Larabee at 8:34 a. tm, and transfers to the Clermont branch and makes a side run to Smethport, arriving at the local station at 9:61. The train makes a. brief stop here and then proceedsdirect to Buffalo.At 10:54 the combination tram, carrying passengers, mail and freight, j arrives at the local station from Olean and proceeds on to Clermont.On the return trip from Clermont to Olean the combination train stops in Smethport at 12:40 noon and makes connections with the afternoon main line train for Buffalo. (The afternoon local train south-.Smethport, arriving at the local sta-tio* at 6:50 D. ni.bee and on to Port Allegany and emporium. This arrangement provides Smethport travelers going to Philadelphia and Washington with an evening train connection with the mam line, something the town has neverpreviously, enjoyed.Smethport business Interests and citizens generally feel • _ extremely grateful to the Pennsylvania railroad fur this greatly improved local tram service which gives the town added passenger and mail facilities, partcu-larlv an outgoing night mail.
