The meeting was held at the Hotel Frances.Eight Cub Scouts led by John Fcnn demonstrated the various phases of Cub scouting, and showed the Lions the fruits of thetr handiwork., Mrs. Ralph Fenn, Den Mother, and Xcn Pence, Scout field executive, explained the Cub Scout work in Kokomo and directed the program.Rep..Forest A- Harness was introduced and urged the Lions to “keep faith,T with elected officials, and beware of propaganda of non-etccted officials who keep crying of the dangers of inflation. “Keep your feet on the ground and be-ware of propaganda/' he warned.Jack High, Scout district chairman, presented a certificate of ap-^ predation to the Lions for their 1 gift of several boats for Scbut use last summer.The Lions were initiated in the salute and other procedures of j the Cub meetings. Participating in the Cub program in addition to Fenn, were Larry Runyon and Jerry Stoner, as the color guard, Jack Ellc-man, who lead the group in reciting the Cub promise, and David i , Barngrover, who read the Cub1 Scout law. Ronald Treon demonstrated metal tapping as his handiwork, Roger Keyes lanyard braid- , mg, and Chad Chadburn knot °c tying.The Lions will sponsor the an-Ual high school band spring concert May 24, John Carl Jeffrey, club president annnounced.
