has served as vice president, manager and director of the Pilots’ Navigation Company, was tirst captain of the Forest City Harbor No. 36 and for two years D. D. P. C. of the harbor. He is a past grand of Oglethorpe Lodge of Odd Fellows and is also a member of the Confederate Veterans’ Association. He was born in Savannah in 1S40 and after nearly half a century in hazard-our service as a pilot he is as active and vigorous as many men a score o*f years his junior.
