MUSIC HALL*Auntml Meeting of the Association Will Be Held’ Monday. The annual meeting of the CincinnatiMusic Hall Association tak33 place nextMonday afternoon, May 4, at 3 o.m.Perhaps it is not known by the citizensgenerally that the Music Hall Buildingsare owned by fifty stockholders at $20 ieach. These fifty stockholders annuallyelect a trustee. In all there are seven -trustees, who have charge of Music Hall prcpenties. During the past year several of the inactive stockholders, and we might say it is astonishing how tew of the stockholders are active and take an interest in this great property, have resigned, and the following new names added; J. G. Schmidlapp, J. T. Carew, Alexander McDonald, A. B. Voorheis, Elliott Pendletoi. In looking over the list of stockholders we could only remark that there are several others on the list whose resignations might be accepted with great alacrity because of their want of interest in the Music Hall. 'It is only one year ago at the annual meeting that it was proposed that the Music Hall be remodeled. At the annual meeting the Board of Trustees will report that what w as hoped for a year ago has been accomplished through the generosity of the subscription of ten gentlemen of $4,000 apiece and the making up *he balance out of the assets of the Music Hall Association Itself. #The sum total of the remodeling, perhaps, will amount, to about $110,000, but In gives to Cincinnati the most beautiful Music Hall, in every way adapted to the varied uses that will be required of It, and unequaled by any similar hall in the world. This property belongs to the people of Cincinnati, xnd the people should take a pride in making their own property as valuable In every way to the material Interests of t^ie city as possible.
