A. R. Memorial at Oxford College, Miami University, will be dedicated here Tuesday. The memorial is a 3-story brick and stone dor mitory, containing accommodations for 150 students, also a large assembly hall.Caroline Scott Harrison whose memory is perpetuated by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, was the first president general of the society, which was organized in Washington, D. C. in 1890 with 18 members. Mrs. Harrison was the wife of President Benjamin Harrison. She was graduated at Oxford Col-legel while President Harrison was a student at Miami University. Oxford was the first women’s college founded in the middle west, 100 years ago and Miami is now in its 125th year.Mrs. Lowell Fletcher Hobart, president general of the D. A. R., will deliver the dedication address and Governor Myers Y. Cooper will accept the gift in behalf of the state of Ohio. Dr. Alfred H. Upham, president of Miami and Mrs. Alfred J. Bros-scau will also deliver addresses.Dedication of the memorial will be the major event of the four-day annual state confer ence of the D. A. R., which began here today.Mrs. Walter L. Tobey, state regent, was among the early arrivals.Mary Harrison McKee, daughter of Caroline Scott Harrison, will be unable to attend to represent the Harrison family. Her brother, Colonel Russell B.
