SOLSMANGeorge Solsman, a pioneer resident of this county, died March 18, 1917, at his home in Washington township. He was a native of Germany and was aged about seventy years.On coming to this country he first settled in Ohio, but later moved to Indiana and resided about fifty years on the farm where he died.In 1870 he married Margaret Van-Meter, and to this union three sonsand two daughters were bom, two of whom survive— a son and daughter— Mrs. Laura Linsemier, of Stanley, Wis., and Lifors Solsman, of Carlisle. He was married a second time to Sophia Minister in 1891,to which union one son and one daughter was bom— Carl Soloman and Mrs. Martha Meurer both of Lyons.He was a prominent citizen of that township and had many friends and acquaintances.
