Young Musicians atCollege Next WeekYoung musicians from approximately 60 area junior high and elementary schools are expected to attend Northeastern AM's second annual junior high-elementary school band festival Wednesday.Dr. Robert Swanson, coordinator of the event and director of the Golden Norse Marching Band, has received entries from schools in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri. Orchestras, concert bands and stage bands will be participating in the event.Serving as judges for the festival will be Dr. James Jarrel, Northeastern State University, Tahlequah; Dr. Charles Thaien, Missouri Southern State College, Joplin;Ken Downing, Claremore Junior , College; Donald Robinson, Oral Roberts University, Tulsa; John Elliott, NEO; Frank Ross, banddirector Miami high school; Dale Sullens, band director, Carthage, Mo., and Fred White, Miami.Oklahoma schools expected to attend are Chelsea, Chouteau, Claremore, Colcord, Commerce, Copan, Eufaula, Fairland, Afton, Barnsdall, Grove, Kansas, Miami, Quapaw, Sallisaw, Stillwell, Tulsa Union, Wagoner, Welch Westville, and Wyandotte.Schools entered from Kansas include Inola and Royster-Chanute; from Arkansas, Siloam Springs and Gentry,Missouri schools are Cassville, Carthage, Diamond, Granby, Greenfield, Joplin, Lamar, Lincoln, Lockwood McDonald County, Pierce City, Seneca, Reed Springs, Washburn and Webb City.FOR WANT-AD TAKER DIAL 542-9428Control Smoking:
