Prom tickets went off sale yesterday, and it seems that it had a little competition with the Grand Funk Railroad con cert which will be held on the same night in Fort Worth. The prom has been planned as a dinner banquet, and The Soul Purpose will play for the dance. Linda Davis, Loretta Uzee. Carolyn Gattis, Debi Averitt, and Tina Guinn all placed in the top ten places of at least one area of competition. They will now’ go to state competition in San Angelo on April 16. 17.There have been several personal honors won recently also, as Cynthia Farhat has been named Miss Cinderella for 1971. The contest was sponsored by the Boys Club, and is the main money-making project of the year.Junior Terry Vernon has been named the Sam Houston representative for Boys State, which will be held from June 5-12.
