' NOT GOOD FOR POLLY SI“Pbily Ami”, the two-year-old green talking parrot with almost human intelligence, property of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Stonebraker, 412 West Twenty-second street, who has been interesting and greeting | all patrons in the Harpster Hotel ! restaurant since Mr. and Mrs. Stonebraker left for Florida three weeks ago, is today losing her happy home there and going back with “grandpa”. Mrs. Harry Harpster, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stonebraker, has’ been keeping the bird during their absence*“Polly Ann” is away up in I. Q., •and the “Polly wants a cracker” lingo is old stuff with this bird, as it asks how your cold is, bids good bye, and. even waxes affectionate and kisses certain of the better friends.Singing is but another of this birds many accomplishments, and when the electrola is in swing, Polly accompanies with the melody and the words—believe it or not. So popular has “Polly Ann’ become that certain versatile people were ' j wont to call the Harpster restaurant “The Green Parrot” in her honor. •For a bird of her tender years with such an advanced education and versatility, “Polly” should live her allotted span of five score years and be a great name for the Bird House of Fame.
