Bobby lays the corner stone. Celia reads in the timesthe account of Col. Smith’s death. Aunt Ida plans to take Celia toChicago. Celia receives a caller. Col. Vavasour stays over nightto help Bobby.ACT III. Col. Vavasour describes the death of Col. Smith and gives Celia a a few keepsakes. Celias 'fears are realized. Col. Vavasour is Col. Smith. Aunt Ida and Celia plan to take the midnight train, but Celia changes her mind.
