Mrs. E. S. L, Thompson, of Mun-cie, spent Tuesday afternoon visiting Mrs. L, N. Davis. Although well known in the domain of literature before leaving Winchester, Mrs. Thompson’s reputation has now be* come international and the citizens of Muncic are justly proud of claiming her as their own. Whether thisclaim is strictly neighborly or cot the people of Randolph county havci reason to doubt, for we have not yet; relinquished our claim to the authoress. At home Mrs. Thompson is universally loved for her kind heart, for her active interest in tho betterment of society, and for the inspiring verse which she contributes to the bo ml aged souls of gloom-riddenindividuals. Her knowledge is general and accurate, and her company is charming. Mrs. Thompson was well pleased with her tirsfc visit to Farmland.
