Sunday was the 86th birthday anni-versary of Jacob Clem and 62 grown people and seven babies gave him a pleasant surprise. He makes his home with his daughter, Mrs. Win. Ogle, who served a bountiful dinner. There! were 16 people at the first table, their j average age being 6QV2 years. Mr. j Ciem is the father of six children, four of whom were there; IT grand children. 4 great grandchildren, a j brother, John Clem of Elkhart, a sis-j ter, Mrs. Sarah Judd and two sons,! of Dowagiac, Mich., and many friends,, 1 all wishing him a happy birthday.Calvin and Frank Lutes of Hannibal, Mo., and Roy Lutes of Quincy, 111., is visiting relatives here.Mrs. Emanuel Os ter visited rela-! lives in Elkhart last week.
