.17) at u:3U a.m.French Club sponsors field tripOne hundred twenty exuberant Thorntonites boarded three fully loaded | busses on Friday, March 12. for a field trip to the Art Institute. The trip, under the sponsorship of Thornton's French Club, proved to be an exciting one for all involved—students, eightaccompanying mothers, and four teacher chaperones.The tour of the Institute concentrated on French artists and included the Impressionists, the tapestries, the Medieval Gallery, and the ThorneMiniature Rooms. The students were enchanted with what they saw, according to Gloria Hannas. French Club sponsor. This joint endeavor in which students, parents, and faculty were involved turned out to be a very rewarding experience for all of us, she added.The eight parents were: Mrs. Robert Evans if Dolton.
