The program, which is made possibly by grants from the Alaska State Council on the Arts and theNational Endowment for the Arts, is designed to bring 12 visual artists together at theRegional Fine Arts ('amp, to work in their art area and to share that art form with each other and with students attending the camp Artists chosen to participate in the program will represent a varietv of areas in the visual arts.They will be chosen on the basiswof their skill in their arts area andtheir art to others Their two-week residency at the camp will allow them ample time to practice their art as well as to demonstrate it. In return for thefunding which will bring them to the camp and pay for their stay there, each artist will be required to leave one of the art pieces completed during the residency with the Council to comprise a permanent collection which will be exhibited throughout theRegionA prospectus for the program is presently being prepared In the meantime, artists interested inparticipating in the program are invited to contact Larsen by writing her at the Regional Arts Council.
