K’Mere Mortals’ AppearBy LINDA BARNEYOne of the newest singing groups in Warren is the Mere Mortals, organized only three months and already showing great promise.They have written many of their own songs and in the spring they plan to go to Nashville, Tenn., to record two of their favorites.The songs planned for recordings are Girl, Stop Pushing Me,'* and Sue Will.So far, they have played at the Youngsville Ski Lodge and at the Town Barn. On March 31, they will play the Armory in Warren and on April 1 they are booked at Eisenhower High in a dance sponsored by the Varsity Club of Ike High. On April 8 they areback at the Youngsville Ski Lodge.Members of the group Include Doug Hoffman; bass guitar; John Thompson, lead guitar; Roy Hoilabaugh, second lead guitar; Rick Blakeslee, drums; and Roger Jenkins, rhythm guitar.
