On that date ihreemen are ■ 4*'die in the electric chair for their crimes, unless a higher court, the clemency board or the governor intervenes...The State Supreme court yesterday fixed April 8, as the date of execution of -James Lyon, of Norwalk, convicted of killing a detective-in January, 1926. This action was taken alter the court had ruled that the death penalty imposed vby the Huron county courts must stand.: Lyon and. his brother. I «eon-mrd, now serving a life senence for crime, were suspected of bur-giafixing a railway station. They resisted officers sent to arrest them and killed a detective in the affray.Another prisoner, John Hickman-of Columbus, who must die April 8 also, has a brother, Montrose, serving m life term, the brothers having been involved in the same murder.The pair was suspected of having taken part in several house-bredkings in Chiiiicothe and when approached by Policeman Ban G arret, John Hickman opened fire, killing the officer. His appeal to the county court of appeals was refused Tuesday.The other convicted murderer, George W- Thoma, of Mansfield, Ohio, who must die on the same date, was charged with the brutal killing of Mr, and Mrs. Green wait of that city.Thoma kilted the couple because of theln objection to his attentions to their daughter.
