He formerly lived in this vicinity and has relatives here and at Newport.J. C. Samuels of Salina, Kas., was here last week visiting his sister, Mrs. Paul Weaver. On Friday Mrs. Celia Randolph of Silver Island entertained at dinner, J. C. Samuels, Wm. H. Samuels, Mr. and Mrs. Weaver, Warren Randolph and family and Louis Samuels andfamily.The Literary club met yesterday at the home of Mrs. Katherine Hosford.Mrs. John Dawson of Brocton 111. is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Harry Conner this week.Mrs. Grace Margraf of Crete, 111. is here to take care of her mother, Mrs. Louisa Congleton. Mrs. Con-gleton has been quite ill for over a week.
