AHEino.—The splendid cbnndalicr ordered by the Alton Gas Works for tlia New City Hall, fans armed, and in now being pot up.The chandalier has. eighteen burners, in : the two tiers, twelve in the first and six in the eeoond. It is entirely of heavy oast brass, dark French bronze, relics'ed with gold. The entire height in twelve fcer, the diameter of the lownr tier of burners being; nearly eeven feat, and weighs nearly live hundred pounds. It is from the celebrated manafaotory of Ci'ekellus Baker., of Philadelphia, and is on© of the most ele-*ant, yet chaste ohandolicrs ever brought Welt.The banging of this - fine chandalier, and putting np two additional doable brackets in the gallery, which are ordered by tho City Oouueil, oomplote the gas furnishing of the beautiful Hall in-the new building, und gives the city the finest and beat lighted Hall in the State.
