Bom April 9,1937 at SandBranch, the son of the late Eldred Maynor and the late Sylvia Williams-Maynor.Mr.Maynor graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1956. Soon after, he served his country by enlisting in the military and achieved the rank of U.S. Army Specialist First Class serving in the Military Police and was stationed in Germany. Mr. Maynor later married the love of his lifeJune E. Trail in 1960. Mr.Maynor then moved to Washington, D.C/Maryland where they resided for 16 years before moving back to West Virginia. Mr. Maynor worked his adult life in the heating and air conditioning industry. He retired in 2006 from TRANE/Lyon Conklin and Company in Poca WV.He was acknowledged in1994 by receiving the FieldTechnical Representative Award of Excellence fromTRANE and then in 2001was presented with The Bob Carver Lifetime Achievement Award for Training from TRANE/Lyon Conklin and Company. Mr. Maynor loved to spend his time in the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Maynor and his brother Danny Maynor.Survivors include his wife of 52 years June Maynor of Bradley; one daughter Tammy Maynor-Foster and her husband David of Scarbro; one sister Margaret Davis of Maple Fork; two aunts Hal-lie Painter of Maple Fork and Mary Hope Link of Mar-tinsburg W.Va.; one sister-in-law Mary Ann Allen and her husband Ronald Allen and their family of Tim-berville Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He also leaves behind his special “babies” DJ, Jiggs, Nancy Grace, and Spike Henry. Mr. Maynor was friend to all he met and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew him.His remains rest at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1435 East Main Street, Oak Hill where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday with Pastor John Jordan of the Calvary Assembly of God at Beckley officiating, and where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of the service on Saturday.
