The Thornton bank, a strong institution, was one of the* very first banks in Cook county to get permission to reopen after the moratorium but it just simply cannotmake money without investing more money—so the bank is merelyquitting,HARVEY—The wooden gun on ! display in the window of Cowing i Brothers, 2005 Ridge road is be-j lieved to be the original Dillinger wooden gun. It was found by a Tribune reporter at a point near Crown Point having been turned over to the Trib man by a small 1 boy who found it near a corner.
