This is the part that was originated by Ray Bolger.Nan Burgess, student from Chico, will appear as Amy Spettigue, the date of the ingenious Charley, about whom is sung the song “Once in Love with Amy.”Peggy Nichols from Marysville and Joe Coy of Yuba City will be the second par of sweethearts, who will sing “My Darling, My Darling.” Sheila Johnson of Marysville will portray Charley’s real aunt.Other performers will include L. Eldon Smith and Hal Gardner both of Gridley and Scot Allen, Wayne Shatswell, Barbara Barr and John Hoover,all of Yuba City.The singing chorus will include; Becky Ashworth, Lana George, Paula Black, Janet Fendt, Carolyn Caldwell, Lyn Johnston, Linda George, Cheryl Ashby and Beverly Hanson, Ted Wilkison, Jack Johnston, Dan Bush, Paul Henderson, Art Chase, Kelly Mitchell, Melvin Wells, Wendell Barrick, Marshall Engle and Gale Mackey.One of the big production numbers of the show is the“Pernambucco” dance sequence. It will be performed by Donna Parrish. Carol An-gove, Mary Rakela, Sharon Fisher, l.aTroy Scott.
