This fact furnished a lot of entertainment; the c«turoes varied as all had different coocepti m* of what a mountaineer looked like. To add atmosphere the floor was strewn with hay and tin. can*, tha walls vera papered with newspapers and bottles weie used for candle holders.The ‘Diamocd D Boys. E. Q, Denton, Ton^ Wise and Jame Ounabie, entertiined the group with songs.Then Ac ion StartedThen the acton started. The seniors got in i huge circle and played stitf-fefged tag. Ever try to run without bending your knees? You abouid — it's a lot of fun.■ Oilit Coleman called the square dances for them, The Texas Star and ‘The Virginia Reel. At first there were quitea few mix-ups but before long everyone was dancing like an old-timer.Name •Mountaineerest* •After a few more Diamond D Boys songs, the awards were given to the mountaineerest” boy and girl. Bill Lee and De-monell Hampton got the priies, which were corn cob pipes.James Leach, master of ceremonies, announced food* on’* and the group dashed back to the snack bar to get their hot dogs, cokes and potato chips. Homer Belew made the hot dogs for the crowd.The senior planning committee had charge of the refreshments, decorations and entertainmentAbout 80 seniors, sponsors and guests attended.
