Swastika, Tuesday Clubs Hold MeetsFAULKTON. M;*r 22-(Special)-TheSwastika Club met with Mrs. Wesley E Cermak for the regular weekly meeting. There were 13 members present Mrs. Frank Hershman begun the review of Fighting Angel by Pearl Buck. “The Exile” was a story of the author's mother and “Fighting Angel” is the story of her father, who spent most of his life in China as a missionary. Mrs. Hershman will complete the review next week. The hostess served refreshments.The Tuesday Club met at the home of Mrs. Ray Burrill with Mrs. Sophia Kor-rupp as co-hostess. A group of pupils from Tamworth School com nose ri of Doris, Carol and Clarence Holmberg, Maxine. Lucille and Deratd Baubs, Mary Weyand, Geraldine Bdliet, Cyril Go.-n Lloyd Olson. Norvin Bauhs. and Marvin • Speck sang ‘ The Old Spinning Wheel and She's Just a Bit O' Blarney. Dolores McKenna and Bobby Wherry, attired in Colonial costumes, danced the minuet. They were under the direction of Muss Olga Hagen and were accompanied at the piano by Miss Ha/el Baldwin. The club members responded to roll call with Irish jokes. Mrs. Sophia Korrup sang “Kiilarney” with piano accompaniment by' Mrs. L P. Sawyer. Mrs. Burrill reviewed Homespun Handicrafts” by Ella Shannon Bowles. The hostesses served ice cream, wafers, and coffee, after which the club enjoyed an exhibit of antiques consisting of quilts, samplers, baskets, hand-made garmentsand homespun blankets, counterpanesand table linen which were contributedby the members and their guest, Mrs. Sawyer.
