Animals, etc.?The Bouncin' Beals, frankly, don1! care. They received a contract soon afterward.Hugh Bradshaw, operator of 'The Spot’ a dale City nightclub, became manager of the group about six weeks ago. They continue to play in his establishment despite offersfrom other area businesses because, as Wampler put it, “They told us in New York to be ready when they call. He was referring fo the ColumbiaRecords people.Bill plays the drums, while Jerry manage.? both lead guitar and lead singer. Larry lakes oare of rhythm guitar sounds, and Dwight plays bass. Both Vaughns sing background accompaniment.Unlike most British groups, ami the American groups which copy them, the Bouncin' Beals don't have long hair or short panllegs or any of the other “different” features adopted as standout items. Bill, 23, Is a hairdresser; Jer-ry, 21, \s employed by Tennessee Eastman Co.; Larry, 20, is a student at a telovision-radic school; and Dwight, la. is a Lynn View High School student.“We’re just cleanout American boys, said Bill with a wink.
