Erie-Co Musicians, Vocalists To Appear In Ohio Day ConcertW. E. Weagly, superintendent of the county public schools, stated; today that March 30 will be OHIO DAY at the Music Educators National Conference to be held at Cleveland March 26 through April 3.The Ohio public schools will give an afternoon concert featuring a chorus of 1,600 voices, a large band and an orchestra consisting of 800 pieces. IThe Huron High school will be represented by the following 11 vocalists: Jeanne Owen, Martha DL'Long, Audrey Specker, Carolyn! Rau, Norma Batch, Frances Tata, Janet Bailey, Edward Asher, George Mueihauser, Richard Payne and James Lyons.The vocalists of the Margaretta High school include Alyce Hacker, Patricia Snowden, Katherine Baudendistei, Joan Zellner, Chester Rohrbaeher, Robert Felske and David Zellner.The 18 above-named singers, who recently went to Oberlin for a rehearsal, will go to Cleveland for a morning rehearsal on March 30, prior to taking part in the Ohio Day program that evening.The instrumental department will be represented by Dean Kay-lor, clarinetist, Vermilion High school .
