Libertyville Republicans Have Warm Caucus. No Contest Among DemocratsI Two caucuses were held Saturday in the town hall the republicans getting together in basement of the building and the democrats held forth upstairs. Republicans were out In large numbers, 154 votes being cast on one ballot, while the democrats held their I usual quiet caucus, no contests being on for any office and all nominationsbeing by acclamation.H. B. Eger of the republican towu , I committee called the republican eau-11 cus to order. Frank H. Just was chosen chairman and B. II. Miller secretary. John McCormick aud O. E.. Churchill were appointed tellers. A motion was carried to vote by ballot I for candidates for nomination.On informal ballot for supervisor 82 I votes were cast for 16 different candidates A. W. Waldo receiving 52,I others from one to six each. The informal ballot was made formal and Mr. Waldo declared the nominee.05 votes were cast for town clerk of which Fred Cfoker received 94.On informal ballot for collector Jay 3 I Morse received 61 votes, W. C. Achen 1 28 and J. J. Porteous 46. Then followed a formal ballot resulting as a follows: Morse 82, Achen 10 aud. Porteous 57, thus giving Morse a clean i majority.i For highway commissioner It. W. a Bulkiey received 72 votes and It. Epker 65 on the informal ballot. A motion was made to proceed to formal ballot. Another that the informal bal-r lot be declared formal. Belug unable n to decide intelligently between the roar of ayes and nays when tlrst mo-* tion was put the chairman called for* the formal ballot which resulted as J follows. Bulkiey 90, Epker 6:i.Fred Clemens for constable and Geo. 3 Wlsner for school trustee were nominated by acclamation upon suspensionof the rules.The chair appointed E. H. Smith, Jay Allanson aud L. B. Han by town d committee for succeeding year audftl the caucus adjourned.
