He’s Collector Of Old MoviesJACKSONVILLE (AP) — Old movies have so much appeal to Sherman Pippin that he has collected 250 of them,all good clean entertainment.His collection features Grade-B Westerns, but he also has some war films and a group of old serials.“I’ve always been a film enthusiast,” Pippin, 43, said. T always liked Westerns in particular. When I found out that there are ways of collecting films, I started buyingthem.”The predominant characteristic of every one of his films is moral character. The good guy always wins, fair and square.Pippin has a couple of real oldies starring Buck Jones. “You knew he was real mad when he put a stick of gum in his mouth,” Pippin said. “He’d look at the bad guys and take a stick of gum out and say, ‘Do you really mean that?’ You knew the bad guys were in trouble.”Sarasota Herald-Tribune Sunday, Mar. 20, 1977—11*A
