E-M-F TOUR IS PLANNEDNEW ENGLAND TO BE VISITEDOWNERS AND DRIVERS WILL lt;SO A8 FAR NORTH AS MAINE, SPENDING A WEEK IN EACH SECTION— FINE SCENERY ON ROUTE,A tour of the White Mountains andNew England coast resorts is on the taplefor the coming summer, It will be an auto outing exclusively for owners and diivers of E-M-F cars While George C, John, the New York E-M-F agent, is the promoter of thetour, it is believed that the caravan will not be confined to metropolitan district ownets, but Philadelphia, New Jersey and New England will also contribute their quota of tourists. Mr. John outlines the toui as follows:“The route will cover the New England states as far north as Maine, and will travel sb the most scenic sections of that region.“In the White Mountains the tour will follow7 the road leading to Gorham, thence to Jefferson Highlands, where the motorists will be entertained by one of the distinguished citizens of New Hampshire.“Leaving the Highlands, an easy run will be made to Mount Washington, w'here the members of the party will be Conducted up the mountain to the summer house, where a day and a night will be spent enjoying the sublime view at an altitude of 6,500 feet.“After a trip through the Glen Ellis valley the tourists will head for the Craw-foid Notch, said to be the most beautiful in the White HJlls. Upon reaching Conway the cars will make for Plymouth, where the tour will follow the Pemi-gewasBet to Profile Notch and past the Old Man of Jhe Mountain. *“Littleton will be made a night stop, and next day the cars will be piloted to Portland on the Maine coast. At Portland three days will be invested in visiting the island resorts in the waters of Casco Bay, Orr’s Island (famous as the scene of Har-1 riot Beecher Stowe's 'Pearl of Orr’s I Island’), Bailey’s Island, Long Island, Glen Island and other havens of pleasure will be made objective points during the stay of the automobillsts in Portland.“It is to be distinctly understood t^hat participants are not bound to follow the program during the visit of the motorists In Portland, and that they are at liberty to go where they please, so long as they assemble promptly on the day of departure.“Old Orchard, Kennebunkport, York Beach and Newburyport will be passed through on the way to Boston, and New York will be reached in time for supper,’'
