Clarification on TV AwaitedStatus of KNBS-Channel 22 is : expected to be clarified in the near future, Eugene T. Golden, trustee in bankruptcy for the local television operation, said Thursday.Alert Acceptance Corp. submitted the high bid of $22,050 for the station at a bankruptcy proceeding ; last Jan. 13. Officials of the Port-land firm said they expected to have the station back on the air in 60 days.But that time period elapsed three days ago and no word has been received from the Federal Communications Commission, which must approve transfer of the station's operating permit before the sale is valid.KNBS began television here I | early in 1960 and ceased operations the middle of December. Federal bankruptcy proceedings were initiated, resulting in the tentative ! sale to Alert Corp.
