Former Mason City Girl Wins Honors in KansasJane Liesenberg Enrolled as Pre-Medic at College,Mias Jane Liesenberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Liesenberg of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Mason City, has been singled out of the co-eds at Kansas State college at Manhattan, Kans., where she is a freshman for a number of honors.Most recently, Miss Liesenberg was named St. Patricia at the annual engineering students’ • St Pat's prom. Roger Crow.of Topeka, a junior in civil engineering, was elected St. Patrick, the patron saint of engineering. .Is Kappa Pledge.. Miss Liesenberg ' is a Kappa Kappa Gamma pledge and is the Kappa roprosentniive to Panhel-Icnie at Kansas. In the annual Campus Orphcum,'1 put on byfraternities and sororities. Miss tatnjtp TTmMnrnrLiesenberg played her accordion y MISS JANK LIESENBERGin the'Kappa act which with Sigma Nr? act was chosen best.Allhough she engages in many campus activities, Miss Liesenberg is occupied with the preparation for a career which she has dreamed since she was a child. She is enrolled as a pre-medical student at Kansas college. When she receives her bachelor of science degree from Kansas, shewill enter a school of medicine to work for her doctor's degree.In High School.* • Miss Liesenberg completed herhigh svhool education in Kansas City, being graduated from the Westport high school where she was elected to the national honor socieiy and was a member of the debate squad, the student council, the Speech-Arts club and the Pundit Literary . society. Miss Liesenberg started her education in the Mason City schools.In 194 she attended the Kansas City Art institute Saturdays for about a year, but she gave up the study in favor of becoming a doctor.Miss Liesenberg is a granddaughter of Mrs. J. L, Liesenberg, 406 First street northeast, and a niece of Lloyd Liesenberg, 19 First street northeast.A
