They didn’t find their ghost but they chased it away and discovered its unearthly apparatus, The Joe Hout farm, south of Sioux Rapids, has been haunted for some time. Ghostly voices coming from the barn had so frightened the horses that they frequently broke loose, kicked their mangers to piecesand became generally unmanageable. For several weeks people coming from miles around have visited the barn and listened to the strange sounds. Marshal Rush Williams of Sioux Rapids, decided something should be done. He announced that he and a posse would hunt down the spook.
