The Junior Chamber of Commerce Brings World-FamousExhibit HereFrom The $300,000 World Famous Potvin ExhibitThe World Famous Potvin Ex- years were used to carve thishibit which has thrilled millions throughout the world will be on display for another week on East Front Street next to the Bamby Bakery. The various scenes were nil carved by hand with a pocket knife by the great French * Canadian wood carver, Moise Potvin overa period of 25 years. It is difficult to say why the exhibit is fascinating — but fascinatingit ie. The scenes are carved with a detail that keeps onelooking for new bits of humor, ingenuity or beauty.The above scene represents the masterpiece of the late Mr. Potvin's work. It shows a Victorian living room in all its splendor. Patrons stand with reverence admiring this work of art.The Stampede of Texas Longhorns, Samson and the Lion, Pres. Roosevelt's first cabinet,the one piece bathing suit and many other scenes are the talk of the town. An education initself onlookers remarked asthey finished making therounds of the exhibit. Manyreturn a second and third time to see the checker players at their game.The exhibit is open daily from 10 a. m. to 1 1 p. m. and Sundays 2 to 11 p. m. No admission is charged, but voluntarycontributions are accepted, proceeds will be used bv the Junior Chamber of Commerce for their civic work.
