For assistance or information. contact Edith Morgan, People editor, 752-2121.Music Alums Return For Benefit ConcertFormer Utah State University Music Department students Vivian Blanchard and Michael Ballam will be among those returning to campus for a benefit concert on March 23 at 8 p.m. The concert will be held in the Fine Arts Center Kent ConcertHall.Sponsored by the USU Alumni Association and the Logan Herald Journal, the concert is intended to raise funds for the reorganized USU marching band. A donation of $2 for adults and $1 for children will be requested.Mrs. Blanchard is the wife of Wayne Blanchard of Tremonton and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conn J. Haderlie of Logan. She is the mother of five children.At the age of 13 Mrs. Blanchard was the winner of the Stillmann-Kelly piano competition in the state ofUtah.Mrs. Blanchard studied under Irving Wassermann atUSU. During this time, she was the winner of three talent shows and was nominated as one of the finalists for the annual Robins Award in music.A member of Phi Kappa PhiHonorary Society, Mrs.Blanchard was chosen as theKiwanis Outstanding Studentin the School of Humanities upon graduation from USU in1963.Heights. He is married to the former I^aurie Israelsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Israelsen, North Logan.While attending USU, he sang the lead in musicals,Ballam completed hismaster’s degree at theUniversity of Indiana where he is currently finishing a doctorate in voice and opera. He will have the lead in the school’s production of“Parsifal” by Wagner thisspring.Ballam is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant L. Ballam of River
