Powers ie still working for George Haselworth.—Farmers have commenced talking about sowing oats.—The political pot has commenced to simmer and will soon be boiling.—The roads have been in good shape the past week and much hauling has been done.—Mrs. Sarah Scooly. of Paulding county, has been visiting in this vicinity the past week.—Am glad to know that Neff Ensign, the grocery men at Deiiunee, are doing a good business.—Bert Boll and his hands came up from Henry county Saturday, to attend the shooting match at John Ball's.—Dick Shaffer has been hauling out a nice lot of logs to the road, which he expects to bring to Defiance in a short time.
