Dr. H. Gordon HarrisFormer Rockdale Man BackFrom Conference in EgyptDr. H. Gordan Harris Jr., formerly of Rockdale, recently returned to the States followinga trip to Cairo, Egypt.Purpose of his visit was to confer with Dr. G. M. Habashyand others of the American University in Cairo concerning a proposed project on acid treatment of Egyptian clays. Dr. Harris is to serve as scientificadvisor on the project.“CUJ~i n eJ tyyPrior to returning to the States, Dr. Harris visited in England, with colleagues Oxford and London.inDr. Harris, a 1956 graduate of Rockdale High School, received degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of California at Berkeley, and since 1968 had been a member of thefaculty of Tulane University. He is currently visiting professor at the University of Wyoming.During his stay in Wyoming, Dr. Harris is also serving as consultant to the U. S. Energy Research Center located inThe Re-Laramie, Wyoming, search Center, a branch of the U. S.
