South Point Pupil Strike Still ContinuesI RONTON .*■—A largo band ofstudent “rebels continued their strike at nearby South Point High school today. Others returned to classes after a walkout protesting the school board’s decision not to, rehire two teachers.Principal Herndon Wilks saidabout “75 or 100” students were gathered across the street from the school and refused to enter. He yould give no estimate of how many returned to classes.About 500 are enrolled.The strikers have adopted a “wait and see” attitude after winning a partial victory at a village meeting last night. The majority of adults attending the meeting supported the students and helped obtain a written statement from three board members who promised a special board meeting Monday night.
