In 1839. le married his second wife Eliza-aeth Fries who died July 6. 1875.He was the father of seven chtt- of dren of whom John W. Glaize and i th David S. Glaize were still living. El He was thrown from his horse; to and received injuries from which St he died March 11. 1878. at the er age of eighty-two years. Solomon spent his whole life on his farm and lived in the old log house.8ampson, the oldest son of the pioneer, married Elizabeth Renner, a native of Frederick County, and they became the parents of nine children. He was a well-to-do farmer. He was a soldier in the war of 1812. He was born October 13, 1791 and died February 7. 1850. His son George F. Glaize who was bom in 1827 and raised on his father’s farm, went to Winchester j le in 1|52 and engaged in the lumber business. In 1881. he and his two brothers. Isaac N. and Henry W. Glaize Joined the Confederate Army. In 1875 he married Alice E. _aughter of Henry Stine of Frederick Co. and they had a son Fred- 11 erick L. Olaize who was bom in ;v1876. 11His brother Isaac N. Olaize was killed in the first battle of Manassas July 21. 1861. His brother Henry W. Glaize was wounded in the battle of the Wilderness. May 5.1864 David S. Glaize. the young- j1 est son of Solomon and Elizabeth Fries Glaize was born August 23. 1842. He also spent his early life in the county on the farm. He joined the Confederate Army. He was captured in February. 1862. and was a prisoner in Canm Chase. Ohio, until the following September when he was exchanged at Vicksburg. Miss. On February 26. 1885 he married Elizabeth B. Baker. daughter of J. Milton Baker. They became the parents of one child David Brevitt Glaize bomMay 31. 1888.George F. Olaize. brother of Captain John Glaize and son of Henry Olaize and Ann Yeakley Glaize and grandson of George Glaize the pioneer, lived for many years on a farm at Gainesboro. Va. He was the father of several children. One of his sots, Henry C. Glaize. a prosperous farmer] lived south of the Opequon post-office. One daughter became the wife of Joseph O. Bywaters: one was the wife et W. 8. JHett: and one the wife of Albert Williams. Two sons. Luther and Jeffersont\i.T
