A very successful surprise party was given on Saturday night by Mr, and Mrs. Everett Shively, near Concord, in honor of the seventeenth birthday anniversary of their son,Herman.The decorations were appropriate for the Washington's Birthday seasonThe evening was spent with music and games, and at a late hour a delicious luncheon of ice cream and cake was served to about 30 guests.The honor guest received many remembrances from his friends. — Bethel Journal.xr
