Batye. a farmer living twelve miles north of town. His grove of hard maples yields about twenty gallons of sirup yearly. The demand for It is always in excess of the supply.Real maple sirup cannot be obtained on the market. Its price has been too i low to stimulate its manufacture, and within the last few years most of the maple trees In the county have been cut down, according to P. H. Sapp, county assessor.
