INDOOR ATHLETIC MEET ATTHE AUDITORIUM.Director Muellej, of the Massillon Athletic club, has secured the signatures of eight Massillon athletes tothe entry list of the big indoor athletic meet, at the Auditorium, March 26. There are prospects for others entering the competition, from that city.Physical Director Wallace, of the Y. M. C. A. of this city, will visit Akrontoday to promote the interest in themeet, among the athletes of the Akron Y. M. C. A., the Akron High school and Buchtel College. The Indications point to numerous entries from all of these Institutions.Although the list of officials for the meet has not been definitely decided upon, it is probable that Director George M. Meyers of the Akron Y. M.C. A., will be clerk of the -course. Elmer Shriner, faculty manager of the Akron High school, will likely be one of the judges. Director Mueller, of Massillon, will also be a judge. If possible, the promoters of the meet, will refrain from choosing any officials from local athletic circles.Negotiations were closed yesterday with the Thayer Fifth Regiment band, by which that organization agrees to play for the meet. Pursuer is well known throughout this portion of the state by reason of his ability as a high jumper.It must be understood that the entries are open to all amateur athletes, affiliated or unaffiliated with any organization. The co-operation of all non-professional athletic clubs is especially desired.Today will be ladies day at the Y.M. C. A. The attraction during theafternoon will be a series of three volley ball games between the Har-vards and the Cornells, the leading teams in the Business Men’s league.
