Thomas Keegan, Mrs. Waterman, and Mrs. McKelvey are in charge of the presentation.The junior high and high schoolchoruses will also take part in the musical cast.The main performances will te staged at 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday evenings, March 22and 23.Advanced tickets are on saleat the price of $1.25 on the floor and $1 in the balcony. Ticketsscribed by its authors as “awhimsical musical fantasy.’* The show ran for 581 performances on Broadway. The musical won the New York Critics* Circle Award for the best musical of 1947. It was the only musical of its time to win 100^ of the critical opinion of New York,Since its Broadway opening, its success has grown steadily; it is done more often by amateurs than any other musical inthe United States and Canada.0After a revival at the City Center in 1957, the New YorkOther critics have also acclaimed Brigadoon. John Chapman, New York Daily News, says, “If there isn’t a villagenamed Brigadoon, ther ought to be,” Brooks Atkinson, New York Times, describes it as “one of the best musicals of the cen-truy.” Richard Watts Jr., New York Post, states it as, “A brilliant and beautiful show with imagination, taste and distinction.There was also a movie version of Brigadoon in 1954, starring Gene Kelly, Van Johnson, Cyd Charisse and Elaine Ste-Brigadoon to Tommy, played by Larry Nickel. In 1747 a miracle happened which permitted the village to hibernate except for one day in each century. The miracle would cease, however, if any native left.Cast as Tommy and Jeff, the two tourists who stumble upon Brigadoon while on a grouse hunt, are Larry Nickel and Allen Buhlmann.
