Miss Emma Fischer Selected As One of the Prettiest Working Girls in Chicago, the Caivagu dabune jie jin, to find the most beautiful working girl in Chicago, and publishes a picture every Sunday of someone selected for the great honor. Sunday, Feb. 25, the picture of Miss Emma Fischer was printed. Probably very few local people who read the Tribune know that Miss. Fischer is the youngest daughter of Dr. Emil E. Fischer,the veterinary, of Riverdale, and for over thirty years a resident of this vicinity. Among other complimentary rea marks the ‘tribune prints the fol lowing: “The bindery girls of Chicago say the president of their union is the most beautiful working girl in Chicago. They are devoted to the leader, and declare that she is as brilliant, clever, sweet, kind hearted and lovely as she is beauti ful. A dozen bindery girls suggested that Miss Mmma Fischer is the prettiest working girl in Chicago, and some of them sent their photographs of her to The Sunday Tribune, in response to the request for aid in the task of finding the one who, above all others, deserves the ideep tre proud distinction. Miss Fischer is a girl of German ex traction, and has been living in Chicago for the last seven years, during bindery work. She is 24 years old. At a first glance Miss Fischer strikes one ag being extraordinarily beautiful, but as she talks in a soft, low voice and a half smile lights her face she appears even more lovely. Here is the type of womenly beauty of which one never tires Miss Fischer's eyes are perhaps her most adorable feature. They are large and brown and shaded with long, curling lashes. They do no sparkle and gleam, but look out upon the world with a soft, warm, subdued light. Her thinly penciled brows arch prettily. Her nose is, of course, straight and aristocratic, and her mouth retains its youthful Cupid’s bow. Her complexion is the kind that the boy describes as ‘peaches and cream,’” and her teeth are small, regular, and gleamingly white. She is slender and graceful, only med ium height.’’
