Lindy and the LaVells, a local rock 'n roll band, cur rently have a record which ‘is predicted by this week’s issue of Billboard Magazine to be among the top 100 songs in the country, the leader of the group said. Lindy Blaskey, leader of the four-man group — all stu dents at the University of New Mexico — said top radio stations in New Mexico rate ‘the record, “I'll Get Along i Somehow,’’ as the No. 1 song sn the state, on the basis of j sales. Other members of the group, whose parents live in Albuquerque with the excep tion of Blaskey’s, are Danny Valdez, Jan Whitford and Steve Maase. Blaskey hails from Dallas, Tex. In Albuquerque alone, Blas- A-9 ‘key said, the record has sold 2300 copies — 1300 better than any previous record the group has cut. The disc is on a Space Records label. The firm has offices in Al buquerque.
